Looking For A Bargain?

Well, how does one husband and a slightly used baby sound? Already got one? That's okay, you can have mine too.

Seriously, though. In the wee hours of the morning, I actually considered listing them on Craigslist as a package deal. That wouldn't be considered human trafficking, would it?

So here's the scoop.

The big kids had a nice, loooong two weeks off of school for the holidays. During that two weeks Dad had many days off. In fact, he only worked Monday of last week before taking the rest of the week for vacation. That means we had many late nights. Sean and I have raised a few little night owls, let me tell ya. Anyway, I think all of those late nights as well as late mornings led to the following. Sunday night we put the big kids to bed early. Besides having Raiden come into our room and whining telling us how he needed some sleeping pills (couldn't tell ya where he got that from), Kaitlan didn't really want to go to sleep either. She finally got to sleep around 11 which isn't too abnormal. The rest of the night, however, was like sleeping with a wolverine!

First wake up was at about 12:30. That one was my DH, though. He woke up to find Raiden in bed with Sage so he moved him and had to tell me about it apparently. Next (and last) was a mere two hours later. She decided that it was good idea to nurse on one side then the other. Then do it all over again. And again. And again. I'm pretty sure there was no more milk in there by then, though! So there we lay. I tried to keep her on the other side rather than the middle so Sean could sleep, but I don't think it worked. I was so tired that I got absolutely nothing done yesterday. In fact, once we took the big kids to school, we had a little breakfast and took a two hour nap! Then I woke up just in time for All My Children. (Yay!)

Last night was pretty much the same thing except Sean doesn't seem to be feeling well now. You can tell when he's on the sickly side when he is sleeping. Ya see, he sweats. Not just a little bit either. He's freezing so he stays completely under the covers and then sweats like the dickens.(Can anyone tell me what "the dickens" is anyway and how much do they really sweat?)  I'm talkin drenching the sheets! It's good thing we have this nifty mattress cover we got when we bought our new mattress set last year. Otherwise, we would have a problem. I wanted to strangle him. Or go sleep on the couch one. Luckily, I didn't have to do either one. I simply suffered both of their tossing and turning until our 5am alarm went off. I then fixed his breakfast and lunch to go, spit in his coffee for payback, sent my honey off to work, and pulled the covers up so to sleep on top of them for the next hour. It was a blissful hour of sleep.  That is when I decided that maybe I could keep them after all. What wonders an hour of sleep can do for a tired momma! Good thing I like them both so much.

Dickens? Hmmm. That's a good question, and I have not a clue how much it would sweat! Such an adorable picture!
